The intraoral camera is a small camera that allows the dentist or hygienist take clear pictures of all the teeth in the mouth and allows dental conditions to be pointed out to the patient on a TV screen that is positioned over their head. The intraoral camera allows the hygienist/assistant to gather a baseline of data about the patients teeth. It allows the dentist to see small cracks in teeth from amalgam restorations, dental decay and to document wear from bruxing/grinding.
